Greetings
The 51st Annual Meeting of the Japanese Environmental Mutagen Genome Society (JEMS) will be held onsite in Hiroshima, Japan, on November 15 and 16, 2022.
The theme of this conference is "A (SAIKOU)n Start to the Study of Genome Integrity from Hiroshima". The Japanese word "SAIKOU" has multiple meanings. We hope that each participant will participate, and present and discuss experimental results, with an awareness of their own "SAIKOU".
We are planning three symposia and ePosters. The symposia will feature experts in their respective fields and will be of interest to researchers from both industry and academia. The ICH M7/QSAR workshop will be held in advance, October 21, 2022, in conjunction with the symposium to deepen and share the knowledge necessary for ICH M7 compliance.
Since its formation in 1972, the Japanese Environmental Mutagen Society, the predecessor of the Japanese Environmental Mutagen and Genome Society, has been working to promote basic research on mutagens that have a significant impact on public health, and to disseminate related information and technologies. We will continue to play an important role in promoting research on detection, identification, metabolism, and mechanisms of genotoxic substances, establishing standard test methods, determining standards for food additives, agricultural chemicals, environmental pollutants, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and occupational safety, and practicing and educating on regulations.
We sincerely look forward to seeing you in Hiroshima.
